Established in 1963, a business venture untaken by mother and daughter, Gail's Floral Studio has stood the test of time, never derailing from its course, its authenticity, its originality and its purpose for bringing the very best to its people.
Gail Jones
Gails Floral Studio was opened in 1963, a bold statement from a 19 year old Gail Jones as she fought and trudged her way through a business world dominated by men and establishing herself as one of the premier florist in Hamilton, New Zealand. Qualified with a New Zealand diploma in floristry at the age of 19, Master Florist, 2nd place at Interflora World Cup, Renowned International Designer and Head Referee Interflora World Cup China.
Along with a witty sense of humor, Gail Jones can be described as driven, tenacious, strong willed but has the most caring touch when it comes to people. Her work ethic is based around being an honest trader with a fine eye for detail, from start to finish. She's creative in her floral design approach, never leaving a stone unturned and follows acute designs principles when it comes to her work.
Our very own "Iron Lady" Gail Jones is the figure of authority in floral world but her charisma and drive is complimented by her soft approach to her customer. Her loyal customer base, new and old are always welcomed with a smile and sweet tone.
Thea Senior Florist
The backbone of every successful business is its driven employees. Thea is the senior florist here at Gail's Floral Studio. Trained by Gail Jones, Thea has learned and applied herself to dominate the floral industry with her proven abilities and skills when it comes to floral design, arrangement making and customer satisfaction.
Thea started her time working at Gail's in 2018 and has slowly worked her way up to be Gail's right hand lady. Thea in her spare time enjoys spending time with her dog, taking him for walks around the parks and lakes, reading, playing badminton and is recently engaged to be married. When asked why she chose Gail's Floral Studio, she simply replied, "because, its Gail's!"
